agile-ox and Oxford City Council’s Low Carbon Oxford have teamed up to put together a She is Sustainable event for Oxfordshire.
There have been other She is Sustainable events around the country, originally set up by Becky Willis and Solitaire Townsend amongst others, starting in London, and you can read more about the events here: https://sheissustainable.org/
What is it?
The basic idea is to create a two-day gathering for women working in sustainability in Oxfordshire, allowing women to share their stories and take part in discussion sessions on all aspects of women’s work and life.
Who is for?
Women and anyone who identifies as a woman who work in sustainability in Oxfordshire.
What’s the plan?
Our plan is for the event to run from midday on Thursday 16th March, with a nice dinner that evening, until the early afternoon on the Friday. In terms of numbers, we are looking at around 25-30 participants, plus speakers and organisers, so 30-40 overall.
In terms of format, you can expect a tasty combination of open space, panel discussions and women from our community sharing their 10-minute life stories.
We will be asking participants to apply online in the autumn, and participation will require a small contribution to cover costs (amount tbc).
How do I sign up?
The process for applying to attend (via an online form) will open in September this year, so watch this space!
